Deputy Director General of Ghana Education service, Lawyer Anthony Boateng has urged all stakeholders of Ghana Education Service to leave the decision of when to reopen our schools for President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo make.
According to Lawyer Boateng H.E Nana Addo Dankwa have already consulted and involved major stakeholders in a discussion relating to when our schools should be reopen since Coronavirus obviously has come to live with us, however our schools cannot be closed forever, he told Hello FM on Saturday.
“The President can decide to reopen schools tomorrow or the day after tomorrow, base on the advice he would receive from managers of Coronavirus pandemic.”
He added that all stakeholders should be proactive and prepare in advanced before a conclusion is drawn on this particular matter.
There was a hot argument earlier this week concerning when our schools should reopen, some argued that market women and other traders are allowed to embark on their usual marketing activities without any precautionary measures taken.
Others have also raised concern that, precautionary measures could be taken very serious when students are allow to go back to schools.
Currently, there is a division among stakeholders over the issue of when our schools should be reopen.
