Very, Very Important Personal buses (VVIP), has reduced sitting capacity of it buses to observe social distances in the fight of covid-19.
This was revealed when the ayamultimedia team visited the station at Asafo-Kumasi.
According to the transport manager, Mr. Emmanuel Amuzu, buses that used to carry 40 passengers will now carry 25 and the 49 buses will take 26 respectively. And the decision, he said, was incompliance with the president directives to avert the spread of the covid-19.
Mr. Amuzu hinted that the outfit is strictly insistent no face mask, no entry familiarities and passengers are complying with the directives but was quick to lament that sales are not encouraging compare to previous sales. Additionally, the reduction of fuel prices too is not enough and this also affecting businesses.
‘’Even though, we are in difficult times they hope God will intervene in combating the virus very soon’’.
H used the opportunity to advise passengers to as matter of national interest do well to adhere to the wearing of face masks, observation of social distances in their expedition to confront the novel coronavirus. Adding that the president should also consider the economic standard of the people and put flexible measures to ease public burden when the need arise for another lock down.
